Sebastian Longfield

Partner & Marketing Lead at Rekall. CMO at all in all. Previously VP Marketing & Creative Services at Highsnobiety and Head of Client Services at VICE. Operator-creative across the full marketing stack: brand, go-to-market, acquisition, product marketing, and the systems underneath.

20+ years across culture, media, and tech, most of it with small teams building something that doesn’t exist yet.

About

I studied literature and history in Leipzig, Germany, co-founded an experiential studio, and toured with my bands, from Moscow to Austin, TX. Not an obvious route into marketing, but the job has always been the same: make the thing, then make sure anyone hears about it.

I’m most useful early, with a small team and no playbook — the band model, basically. Right now I spend most of my time working out how AI changes the job: what I make, how I make it, and how much of it I should. So far I’ll take human insight over slop cannons.
